Buddy, our buddy....

Lindsay and I have a new addition into the Eagar household. His name is Buddy. We rescued Buddy from a no good dirty cop in the east bay. He's a ten month old Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever and Poodle mix). He is our special dog. He is still very puppy and has a few issues from his last home but he is learning quickly. He is exhausted after a full day of playing with Lindsay's dog groups and is currently sleeping on my foot. At ten months we is already 70 lbs and growing. He is going go be a very big boy but he's going to be our very big boy. He already is feeling at home and we are all feeling this is where he was meant to be.

Oh...His feet.....

and his nose......

Such an interesting dog.

The Property is GREEN!!!

I had my first swim of the year in the Abel pond last weekend. It was......very refreshing but totally worth it.

Mailman Lunch Break

We noticed some feet sticking out of a mailbox as we picked up the dogs. It took us a while to figure out what was going on but we concluded that he was taking his lunch inside the mailbox, or he had found a package full of brownies and was sneeking a couple. We love the weird things we see in the city.

I recently rediscovered this picture of Anne at our wedding. It makes me happy and hungry for ice cream.

Facebook, should I be scared?!

Recently I was at my friend Tim's house and was involved in a small debate. The debate was whether Facebook or blogging are a better waste of time. Just for the record I have both but I have put some thought into the issue for the passed couple of days. Lets discuss Facebook for a second. I was recently in the bathroom doing what the room was designed for and Lindsay yelled in to ask me about the identity of my most recent addition as friend on Facebook. "Carol Porter Warnick" is the name of my Grandmother. I love my grandmother very much but I don't know how I feel about my grandmother being able to "super poke" all my friends. I love that I can hear from my loved ones so easily and see so many pictures of people that I may not be close to geographically but I just wonder who will be next to join my list of friends and people that might have possible met me before.

Ok blogging.... The pressure can just be to much for me. It seems like I keep getting all these posts on my wall that I need to update my blog. I started seriously concidering carring my camera with me all the time just in case I run in to a bloggable experience. My brother-in-law told me that we were taken off of his daily blog rotation. I don't know if I can handle much more of this kind of rejection. I am sorry to admit but I lost contact with a good friend after he stopped updating his blog. ( http://sesquipedalianisms.blogspot.com/ )

I think as long as we embrace the closeness this technology can bring and not fight over who has more facebook friends or who gets more comments on their blog (by the way positive comments are always appreciated). Ok, you can't possible be still reading this garbage. I have to go brainstorm something clever to put on my facebook to let everyone know I'm doing something cool.

Bread

Justin really likes to eat and I am sick of spending money on bread. So last night I made four loaves and you might be thinking two of them are Rye. But no, I put the last two in the oven at midnight and just laid down for a minute......at 5 am I could smell something. Yes I woke up in a panic and yelled at Justin "the bread is burning!!" They were only over cooked 41/2 hrs.....

the scariest part of this shoe is that as we were leaving we saw a girl trying them on to actually buy them.

Lindsay went shoe shopping for Kim's wedding. Please vote on your favorite and wait to see the winner featured in some future wedding photos.

Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero is on my Christmas list this year and so I thought I would share Lindsay's Favorite commercial. She laughs so hard everytime Tony Hawk comes on the screen....he's her favorite.

It's beginning to look a lot like.......

Our Christmas season started officially when Lindsay bought and gave me my first Christmas present. Don't worry there was no Christmas cheating going on (Lindsay told me to write that and I'm not sure what it means so I'm assuming the Abels will understand). I am the proud owner of a Redline Monocog 29er. We have been looking for a bike for me for a while and now I can go "running" with Lindsay without doing that which I am morally oppossed... running.

You may wonder "Justin, you mentioned you live in a small studio apartment in San Francisco. How do you have room for a mountain bike made for a 6'4" man?" We may wonder the same thing........ Lindsay has actually been great about having this monstrousity jamming up our hallway. I love having a bike again and am looking forward to losing a little more of my rootbeer belly.

Another sign of the Christmas season.....

We have started decorating our apartment. I found some mini Christmas lights and decorated our own little Sherwood forest.

Also on the list of decorations for the Eagar studio;

An Oregon Christmas Tree (probably a Noble fir). We are driving to Oregon this weekend to continue a long time Eagar tradition of cutting down our own Christmas Tree.

A Christmas train circling overhead in our livingroom.

Christmas Lights EVERYWHERE!!!!!

I haven't told Lindsay yet but I have this great idea for a Santa Cutout hanging out of our 3rd story window.

Gingerbread Village made by Lindsay. (she said I could have a tractor)

Last but not least TINSEL EVERYWHERE (just kidding we think Tinsel was created by Satan to distract us from the real meaning of Christmas).

As you can tell we are very excited for the Christmas Season. We are also excited to see so many of you and enjoy this happy time together.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!!!

Pomegranate Contessa

Lindsay and I picked a bunch of Pomegranates from the Abel Farm. After a discussion with the Eagar's we realized that many of you may have never eaten a pomegranate and may not know how to peel them. Lindsay decided to do her own morning cooking show. May I present to you Lindsay "don't blend my pomegranates" Eagar.....

p.s. Sorry if your neck starts to hurt, I figured out the correct camera angle after a bit..

why i like lindsay.......

Lindsay and I had a great weekend up in Reno for Baby Sophie's blessing. After Lindsay and I realized we have spent most of our marriage in the car and half of that time Lindsay is sleeping. So I decided to take some of that time to think of some fun things about Lindsay that may not be known to the general public. I hope this post doesn't get deleted.

Reason #1 No matter how goofy I am I know that Lindsay will always be there to be my partner in crime. Lindsay has this great ability to be totally comfortable in any situation. Even when her dorky husband is making a scene.

Reason #2 Lindsay loves my belly. I don't quite understand why she does but she does. Don't worry I do get the occasional "maybe you should do some push-ups".

Ok, this is just another example of reason #1. I really like this picture

Reason # 3 Lindsay loves piggy back rides. If she could ride on my back all day long she would but this could be awkward in a banking situation in which I work.

I have quite a few more reasons but I couldn't find any more picture to match my reasons. And I'm tired. Goodnight!

Yosemite.....our first time

unattractive

so nostalgic

Yes it was our first time ever at Yosemite. If you ask us 10 more times it's still the same answer....first time ever. We went with kara, chad, lilly and a few of their friends. It was so beautiful and tons of fun.
